I spend a lot of time gazing into a crystal ball that I know is going to be cloudy half the time. Lately I have been pondering Facebook's future.
Facebook is clearly on a roll and is knocking on Google's door as the biggest site on the web. Will it continue to dominate or see its lead slip? Here are two potential outcomes.

Can Facebook take advantage of all the data they are gathering to make Google less relevant? Will they learn from AOL's mistakes to let down their walls and continue to embrace an open web?
I agree with his assessment, however continue to think that a rich publishing environment is still needed for enthusiasts to experience content on the web. Facebook can point me to what my friends, influencers and other networks are reading, but I still want to have the visceral environment that ESPN offers for sports, IGN offers for gaming and Weatherchannel offers for weather. What do you think?
