Hellboy On IGN

Hellboy II is out. Over 25 million people  that go to MySpace today and the millions of gamers that come to IGN will see Hellboy.  I love the visceral high impact front door take overs, not only because they look amazing, but they are a sure fire way to drive awareness & get butts in seat. As a consumer, if I am a Hellboy fan (which I am not) then it makes me proud to see this sort of ad. If I am not a fan, it makes me wonder if this is the "hot movie" to see. In this execution, IGN took it to another level by creating three versions that the user can interact with.

Social Media Marketing: Keep Talking To Your Consumer

Great article on the need for the advertising industry from Joe Marchese:

I completely agree. Scores of advertisers run flight-based media campaigns aggregating a community of friends, neighbors or fans (depending upon the social media site they are advertising on) & then disappear.  To continue the conversation, advertisers could create a social media communication plan so they can evolve and amplify the right message to the right people at the right time.  There are some agencies like The Conversation Group that are recognizing this opportunity and filling a gap.

When will more agencies evolve to fill this gap? Here's one way to look at it:
